Final theses
Bachelor theses
Students can write a Bachelor's thesis as part of a course in "Special Business Administration" Marketing and Innovation. This independent written work also includes a small empirical project (e.g. a survey or an in-depth interview) and is assessed with six ECTS credits. The topics for Bachelor's theses are assigned by the respective course lecturers in the courses or in the accompanying course "Bachelor's course (Marketing and Innovation)". Participation in this course is mandatory according to the current curriculum and helps students with literature research, structuring and planning the empirical project.
Master theses
Students have the opportunity to write a Master's thesis in one of the three "special business administration courses" in the Marketing department of the Master's degree program (Marketing in Consumer Markets, Marketing in Business Markets, Marketing in the Services Industry), which must also include an empirical part. Compulsory participation in the respective Master's seminar is linked to this. Registration for the Master's seminar requires the positive completion of at least two courses in the respective specialization in business administration. Topics are assigned in the Master's seminar and students work out a concrete structure for their Master's thesis in an iterative process. This includes literature research, the well-founded derivation of research questions and hypotheses as well as the detailed planning of an empirical study.
In consultation with supervisors or course instructors, you can use the templates from Marketing in Consumer Markets or Marketing in Business Markets for Master's theses or seminar papers in the specialization Marketing in the Services Industry.
