Graduating with a doctorate from the Department of Marketing is governed by regulations set out in the latest curriculum.
We recommend applicants to study these carefully before applying, especially if your master degree was not earned at an Austrian university.
Details of doctoral studies can be obtained at the Dean’s office of Social and Economic Sciences.
If your thesis is in marketing, you will need to pass mandatory courses and have a formal meeting your application needs to include the following:
- Letter of motivation
- Master certificate
- Diploma or master thesis (as PDF-file)
The meeting and subsequent interactions will determine the candidate’s suitability and develop a suitable project outline for a thesis. First and foremost, we aim to integrate such research into the scientific projects of the Department of Marketing. We also wish to include doctoral researchers in the core activities of the Department of Marketing.
Project supervision is supported by regular private tutorials which are run as workshops and facilitate presentations of recent developments, discuss issues and coordinate individual projects. This concept aims to establish intensive contact among doctoral researchers and create thematic synergies between individual projects.
We aim not only to secure efficient and smooth progress for the thesis but also to provide researchers with optimal career opportunities. Details of courses currently taught at the Department of Marketing can be found at UNIGRAZonline.
